Chloé Presents New Collection At Fashion Week

Last night French fashion company Chloé presented its new Fall & Winter Collection during Fashion Week in Paris.

At the end of the 50´s, this world renowned fashion brand was launched as fashion industry´s very first luxury branch. The vision of its designer, Hannah MacGibbon, was to create an elegant prêt-à-porter line for independent women, looking for high quality material.

With that same vision she presented this year´s Fall & Winter Collection: stylishly linear and minimalistic.  

Inspired by women´s sharp and sensual characteristics, MacGibbon created a line in which soft and fine fabrics have the upper hand. To add an air of attitude to the clothing line, she incorporated influences from male clothing, like coats and suits, combining bold features and feminin subtleness together to one egdy and fierce looking collection.

Contradicting contrasts is what the collection is made of. Male clothing fabrics like tweed, flannel and various types of silk are effortlessly combined with feminin fabrics like cashmere and washed satin, adding a touch of feminine sensuality to the collection. Its provocative edgyness is given by the use of leather, fur coats and jersey´s.

Palette is the color prevailing throughout the whole collection; a color based on beige, merged with natural earth tones like camel and brown, reminding you of autumn leaves and animal prints.

This winter, the designer went for high-heeled shoes and boots, influenced by the ones worn by Englishmen in former days. Chosen for the shoes were materials like suede and exotic fabrics.

Another highlighted item introduced to the public was Chloé´s retro styled ´Aurora´ bag: an alluring designer bag, carrying a golden version of Chloé´s eminent monogram.

MacGibbon´s commitment to high quality material and impeccable cuts, always resulting in sublime and exquisite garments, should from now on definitely be present amongst the basics of your closet.
