From the depths of the sea, the Mare Nostrum reborn

Jewels 24/08/2010

The Mare Nostrum, the most mysterious and rarest of all Panerai models, returns with this unique limited edition absolutely faithful to the principal features of the stopwatch: box, dimensions, area and production processes. The result is a large clock with great historic attraction and high visual impact.

With a gripping story, this chronograph was provided by Officine Panerai for the Italian Army in 1943 for deck officers. The historical events of the time they can not produce many prototypes, only three, the documentation of which was lost in the flood that ravaged Florence in 1966.

The descubrimientor one of the prototypes has led to the creation in the image and likeness of 99 models that have been faithfully reproduced, down to the smallest detail.

The Mare Nostrum is the largest of the Panerai with a piece of 52mm, is fitted with hand-wound mechanical movement, caliber Panerai OP XXV, 22 rubies, 18,000 alternations / hour and a power reserve of 55 hours. The big box is 52 mm in diameter brushed steel, with an antireflective sapphire crystal, an inscription "Mare Nostrum" and the crown and a tight window background (up to 30 meters) of sapphire crystal. The leather strap is lockable steel green satin.

This jewel watchlimited edition is a collector's item for more than a watch for everyday use although there is always someone who dares to size.
