Awards and projects for Antigua Bodega Stagnari

Wines

One hundred and thirty years of a tradition that was born in Italy and continued in Uruguay treasures the Antigua Bodega Stagnari. That tradition is fused with the push of the sixth generation of the family. The company, now in the hands of Hector Stagnari, his daughter Virginia and her children, has become a luxury ambassador of Uruguayan wines in the entire world.

Recently, two of its most prized jewel, the Prima Donna Tannat 2007 and Osiris Reserve Tannat 2005 left at the top the name of the winery and Uruguay. In the first instance, were awarded with gold medals in one of the oldest and most prestigious competitions in the world, Sélections Mundiales Des Vins (Canada) and then repeat the awards in the pageant Vinalies Overseas of Chile. In the latter contest, were also the only Uruguayan wines to be awarded. Although these wines had previous awards is important to highlight the level of consensus reached by different juries in different contests, which makes it very loudly to the winery.

Antigua Bodega Stagnari has 35 hectares of vineyards in the area of Santos Lugares and in Melilla, which produces fine wines Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The company proudly spread the brand inside and outside country borders, taking advantage of that wine is among the few consumer products that come from outside the "made in Uruguay" on its label. The results of their wines in prestigious international competitions, have enabled Antigua Bodega Stagnari enter untapped markets for Uruguayan brands such as Canada. Panama, Brazil, Miami, and soon Canada will receive 8% of the total annual production, which reaches 200,000 liters of fine wines.

The company brings together tradition, successful present and promising future, something that many would have. The secret is none other than the dedication to life, soul and passion to discover the secrets of the earth and bring their wines to the world.
