Akalam finalist in the World SuperYacht Awards

Barracuda Yacht Design, the Spanish firm specializing in naval architecture, yacht design, yachts and larger vessels, has been a finalist in the World SuperYacht Awards, the world's most respected awards in the category of yachts between 30 meters and 40 meters length. And it does a superyacht luxury sailboat Akalam.

Akalam characteristics are special. And his bold and functional design is obvious. Measures 32 meters long and has black graphite finishes with carbon rig and superstructure in shades of cream. Cleverly combines classic lines with comprehensive design innovations.

One of the objectives when making its architecture was to escape the traditional concept of yacht and create an environment similar to a home. This highlights the inclusion of a large number of windows in the hull, 26 in total, offering great interior lighting. The exterior is especially careful and includes a dining table glass and steel and a custom-built heated lounge area including ensuring their use throughout the year.

The awards of the World SuperYacht Awards are granted by the Boat International Media. They are the greatest achievements in design and technology to be designated as finalists in the top five yachts in the world, including the winner is chosen, which this year has fallen to the New Zealand boat Antares III.
