The Pink Peony, a Barcelona Beauty Salon
Wellness 21/03/2010
The Pink Peony, the firm's second beauty space in Barcelona. The Pink Peony recreates the style of New York's manicure salons with exquisite treatments from Philippine professionals.
It is a beauty centre that blends together three styles: Oriental hospitality, American customer service and European elegance.
Behind The Pink Peony we find Peony Herrera Sy. Born in the Philippines, she was raised from a tender age in San Francisco and New York, until she came to Barcelona 11 years ago, following love.
Her first salon is located in Gràcia; small, yet perfect for personal service. Her second locale, however, sits in Passeig de Gràcia, in front of the Iranzo hairdressing salon. She has seized upon the site's modernist interior design to create a luxurious atmosphere. It is located at 100, Passeig de Gràcia, and boasts over 100 square metres in which patrons can enjoy personalised treatments in the company of their choosing, albeit friends, family members, work colleagues; a very New York style atmosphere. And with the added bonus of that while you receive a facial beauty treatment, you also receive a hand massage.
Treatments include:
• Express manicures and pedicures
• Complete manicures and pedicures
• Intense manicures: a monthly ritual that helps delay the signs of aging. It includes cuticle treatment, exfoliation, a warm paraffin dip, a hand massage, hot towel wrap and a refreshing peppermint spray.
• Intense Pedicure: especially for extremely neglected feet. It includes a relaxing Dr. Hauschka foot bath, an invigorating exfoliation, an ultra-hydrating paraffin dip, a foot massage, hot towel wrap and a refreshing tea tree oil spray.
Furthermore, other services include face massages, hair removal and eyelash enhancements, all with a delicate Philippine touch and meticulous attention to detail.
