The architecture of the spectacular hotels merges with the natural surroundings in order to create a unique atmosphere encompassing an ecological philosophy.
Six Senses Laamu is the only resort located on the practically virgin atoll of Laamu, positioned in the heart of the Indian Ocean. The resort has 97 villas and suites all raised over the turquoises and crystalline waters. The combination of the exuberant tropical vegetation and the fine sand of its banks results in a unique and exclusive stay in every way. The gastronomy plays an important role at this luxurious resort—Six Senses Laamu offers an organic cuisine with freshly grown ingredients. Guests are also able to enjoy the music of recognized Dj’s or the summoning of a well-known chef, recently recognized in the USA Hot List of Conde Nast Traveler magazine, bearing an incomparable experience.
Aside from the peace and tranquility this location extends, Six Senses Laamu also offers lots of fun. Near the calm and clear lagoon one can discover a surfer’s paradise, with the majestic “ying-yang” waves breaking onto the reef. Surfing, table and kite, scuba diving and ski aquatics are all offered at the Ocean Dimension Diving School. Laamu’s coral reef is incredible, as well as largely unexplored; so, dive into its waters and indulge in the unique visual experience. Boat trips can be arranged for snorkeling, swimming, skiing or diving, have a picnic on the sand every day or visit the tiny fishing villages on the hidden lake, whose bottom is like a shiny black mirror.
Vietnam is known for its fascinating architecture, natural beauty and colorful people. In this landscapes mountainous setting, unexplored by tourists, Six Senses has erected two resorts. On the largest island of the Con Son archipelago, Six Senses Con Dao is located in the south-eastern part of Vietnam, which was initially colonized by the British East India Company in 1702. The resort has 51 villas with “infinity” pools, all of which were constructed with wood and placed strategically in the natural slope of the dunes with the purpose of enjoying the fantastic views of the ocean. In Six Senses Con Dao one can expect to live in the most traditional manner of Vietnam, because the resort was recreated as a rural Vietnamese village, where it is possible to walk along its principal street, sit down in a typical square and buy in the village’s very own market.
The second resort in Vietnam is located in Ninh Van’s amazing bay, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay. At the resort, hidden away from any tourist agglomeration, it can only be accessed by sea. The breathtaking views offered by the rock formations with their creeks crossing them or their white beaches, make an incomparable sensation of unity with nature. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay is designed to follow the architectural Vietnamese tradition, so come enjoy the champagne welcome and dinner along with structures brought from the continent by sea.
In Thailand, Six Senses knows where all the twists and turns exist. Although the south of Asia, specifically Thailand, is a rather popular place for travelers, Six Senses leaves its mark with two resorts away from the shopping areas and utterly impregnated within the nature that wraps itself around them. Yao Noi’s island, located between Phuket and Krabi, is hidden in the high and sharp limestone rocks of Phang Nga. It is between these spectacular views that Six Senses Yao Noi emerged. This resort contains 56 villas, all of which were exclusively designed, with a refreshing sensation of calmness that envelops the guest, whether in the pool with its two sunken bars or anywhere, the customer will be engaged in the nature and vegetation of Thailand.
Samui is yet another paradise island of Thailand, where Six Senses Samui has come into existence. The resort is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, positioned in rocks; where it is possible to taste fabulous dishes, while enjoying panoramic views of the Siam Gulf and its outlying islands.
