Louis Vuitton Classic Serenissima Run

The Louis Vuitton Classic Run, the vintage car race which was organized by Louis Vuitton, who has explored the more suggestive roads of the world for years, returns to Italy from 23 to 28 April.
The past editions of the Classic Run, covered exotic and difficult itineraries: the luxuriant Malaysian jungle and the rubber plantations of the 1993 Vintage Equator Run, the vineyards and historic towns of Tuscany in the 1995 and 1997 Italia Classica, the rice fields and mountains from Dalian to Beijing in the memorable 1998 China Run and the old Bohemian oak forests in the Boheme Run from Budapest to Prague via Vienna in 2006. This year, the Louis Vuitton Classic Run awaits for you in Italy for a unique rally through a region of the world which has always attracted travelers thanks to the sweetness of its lifestyle and its extreme tranquility.

This year they will travel from Monte Carlo to Venice, in a fascinating route with 43 of the early twentieth century and 43 of the most extraordinary vintage cars. They will participate in a 1,300 kilometers race through the mountains. The race will take place as an exceptional tour, which offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Alps. It crosses the most elegant urban romantic roads around lakes with beautiful buildings and villas of the Riviera del Brenta and will end in Venice.

The art of travelling with elegance is a value which the Maison Louis Vuitton shares with the automobile world since its origins. Louis Vuitton has designed only bales for automobiles, but also for great expeditions by car. They say it’s as the incredible Noire Croisire expedition of the brothers who toured through Africa Citren from north to south in 1924. The Louis Vuitton or Croisire collabor Jaune, the first expedition to Central Asia cars which took place in 1931 and when Louis Vuitton originally equipped the cars with their inventions for the trip, like their beds, bales, boxes and dishwashing tools to name a few.

To honor these memorable adventures, Louis Vuitton decided to organize and bring back Run Classic races to the modern times. It is a tribute to the world of luxury and automobiles, but also to the pioneering spirit of the Maison.
