Purification and purse solidarity
FASHION 24/05/2010
Galician designer Purificación García and the artist Alicia Framis have joined forces and thanks to their enormous talent, each with their own style - one in fashion and the other in art - have created a bag with a slogan of solidarity "Thinking of Dallipur" ("Thinking Dallipur") to help the Indian village of Dallipur. The bag, which was submitted in early May at Laboral Center for Art and Industrial Creation in Gijon, was inspired entirely by India and its markets, clothes, spices or landscapes. Produced in Indian factories and assembled in a soft cotton cloth, and distance are available in two color ranges, the land and spices-ranging from blue, green or beige and striking hues like fuchsia, orange or violet. From a casual style, has several internal pockets and has printed the phrase that gives name to the project, "Thinking of Dallipur", which is illuminated by a photoluminescent tape that glows in the dark. Even it is noteworthy that the packaging is recycled paper as vivid as the colors that make up the bag. The collection of this bag will go towards charity to help finance the electrification work and lighting Dallipur Indian Village, a small town that is considered one of the poorest places in the world located in the region Uther Pradesh. All this, run by the NGO Manos Unidas. The bag, which will feature 1,500 units, only be marketed in Spain, Mexico and Portugal. Now available in all stores and Purification Garcia Labor Astúrias Store at a price of 59 €.
