After taking a year off due to the death of her husband Jason Rae in 2008, a British singer and songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae in a concert will present her new album "The Sea", released on February the 2nd, 2010, at the Teatre Grec in Barcelona on the 21st of July 2010 at the Festival Grec 2010.
"The Sea" is the second album of this pop, soul and R & B singer. The album comprises 11 songs where jazz and pop are in addition to its already typical rate R & B, is composed and produced by the same Corinne in collaboration with musical producers Steve Brown and Steve Chrisanthou and was recorded mainly between cities British Leeds and Manchester. It is av ery intimate album, full of sincerity and emotion that drives a world of contrasts of beauty and sadness, and finally result in a lyric referring to her personal experience with the death of her husband, Jason Rae. "The entire album is about the loss but also about hope, about to go ahead and try to find that beauty. " The first single is "I'd do it all again." Highlighting the theme "Are you here" where Corinne shows the pain she felt with the loss of her husband.
With its first album, titled "Corinne Bailey Rae" published in 2007, she went from being a totally unknown singer and becoming a music star with the sale of millions of records worldwide and was nominated for Grammy Awards and the Brits Awards. Now with "The Sea" were reaffirmed as one of the best soul, jazz and R & B world singers.
After a stint in Barcelona, Corinne Bailey Rae will continue her worldwide tour in cities such as Madrid, Singapore, New York or Korea until the end of 2010.
