"Undressed! A dialogue between clothing and body"

The second floor d Centre de Documentació i Museu Textil (CDMT) Terrassa (Barcelona) explains, the show "Undress! A dialogue between the dress and body," a reflection on the dialogue between body and clothing.

"Undress! A dialogue between clothing and body brings together more than a hundred pieces, mostly of European origin and belonging to the collection and Tolosa CDMT bottom of the last 40 years, divided into objects ranging from clothing to other pieces of clothing and accessories. All of them restored and mounted on stands for easy viewing and reading aesthetics. Itsintended to establish as fashion can transform and mold our way according to the criteria established aesthetic. According Eulàlia said Morral, director of the center, "offers a complete picture of the suit, shoes and hair volume for your time and without which their vision and their perception would always be partial."

Sorted by way of timing issue from the XVII century to the present, the exhibition is divided into five different areas:

The first area is the body I am, therefore I am, where it refere nce to the act of dressing.

The second area is caged body, Where clothing is understood as a prison.

The third area is the body released, which is understood as a means of expression of freedom.

The fourth area is the erotic body, showing the transformation of erotic nude body.

And finally, the body designed where there is a possibility of designing l our own body.

Note that in the spring of 2009, published a book catalog.

"Undress! A dialogue between clothing and body," organized by the same i Documentation Centre Textile Museum, will be on display until next December 1, 2011.

The Fundació Antoni Tŕpies, on the occasion of the reopening exhibition includes the "Antoni Tŕpies. Els llocs de l'art" (art sites), focusing on the figure of the painter, sculptor and art theorist Spanish Antoni Tŕpies.
